What is Kinesiology?

Kinesiology is a holistic therapy that uses Traditional Chinese Medicine techniques to detect where stress is being held in the body.  This therapy is non-invasive and requires you to lay on a Massage table where we will do a series of tests to locate where stress may be held in the body and work on clearing it.  We do this via muscle testing to communicate with the body directly.

The first Kinesiology session requires a minimum of 1.5-2 hours to allow for a thorough consultation and balance.  Each session is different; you may be required to come back for a second or more thereafter dependent on the actual issue.

Balance

A balance is the term we refer to when clearing the stagnant energy pattern in your body and comes after the initial consultation.  During this part, we may use aromatherapy oils, bush flower essences, crystals, sound and meditation techniques to assist the session.

Notes

On going support

After we have completed the balance, we will give you homework to be completed as a tool for managing your symptoms or pain.  This may include gentle exercise movements or breathing exercises that is catered to each individual requirement.

The 60/90 minute Kinesiology sessions consist of but are not limited to:

Traditional Chinese Medicine Techniques

Chinese medicine has been around for thousands of years which is why these techniques have been put in place.  The Chinese believe that a lot of illnesses and pain stem from environmental hazards, food, lifestyle habits, trauma and emotions which cause an imbalance of energy or (Qi) so addressing these aspects is vital to our health.   In order to  detect where this pain or stress may have originated from, we test this via light touch on the arm to locate an organ where it may have begun and clear that stress pattern.

The practitioner's role is to facilitate the session with a self-responsibility model and participation from the client is of the utmost importance.

A balance is the part of the session where we correct or balance out the energy in the body.  This can be done with many methods dependent on whether the issue is Psychological, Biochemical, Structural or Electromagnetic.  If it's structural we may do posture testing.  If its psychological it may involve colour or sound.  If it's Biochemical we may do a water balance.  Lastly if its Electromagnetic it may involve acupressure points.  These are just a few examples of what a balance involves.
